Keiko´s lab has been working with knock-out mice (ATP1A3/ATP1A2) for 20 years.
They have found that not only is the Sodium/potassium pump not working properly but also the core transporters are not functioning properly.

Keiko Ikeda has completed MD, PhD from Lichi Medical University and worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Penn State University (USA) and at Genzentrum of Munchen University (Germany). Now she is a professor of Physiology in IUHW and is doing research in her laboratory.
